Chrome Family Safety Extension
Hi there!
Please help us improve our Chrome addon. What do you like? What don’t you like? What can we change or add to the browser? I personally read every piece of feedback that comes in and I try my best to reply to every one of them also.
Hey, did you know that we now have a free iPad browser? You can download it here: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/free-browser-for-families./id675451608?mt=8
Thanks,

When a site is blocked, please don't have *********** Warning as the page title.
Most of the time and the sites kids will try go in will be innocent enough but having them see that every time they try to go somewhere they shouldn't only peaks the curiosity and will actually encourage them to find out what it is. A quick change here would be a good idea. Right now it's a deal breaker for me and I'll wait to see if it's updated before I reactivate it.
4 votesHi there,
I’m not sure I understand what it is you dislike. Would you please provide a little more info? If you are saying we shouldn’t have a block page, that’s impossible to change because we don’t just have kids using our software. And it must be possible to dispute a blocked page in case it’s wrong.
Thanks,

Email me a report of my kid's browser history daily - even if he deletes it.
Windows 10 does this and it's great.
4 votesWe plan to offer a monitoring service in the coming months. We will look at adding an email update to see if it’s something we can do along with “alerts” based on specific keywords that are used to search.

Change password does not work.
The change password dialog does nothing. Per my previous suggestion, it should also double-confirm the new password.

Block Specific Websites
If at all possible could you add the capability for us to block specific websites and/or domains from settings that aren't caught by MetaCert's filters?

Entering lewd search terms into google only returns accessible pornographic content, defeating the purpose altogether...
Typing a pornographic search into google generally returns at least 2-3 accessible **** sites (generally 3rd party sites), and nothing else. This makes it easy to find the few sites that ARE accessible. How can I avoid this problem?

To put restrictions on Disabling the MetaCert Extension from Chrome Extensions Settings page.
Hey Paul,
My name is Shivanshu Rathore, a citizen of India and also a user of MetaCert extension for Google Chrome browser. I would love to keep this mail as short as possible and to gather your attention on this mail also.
A little introduction about myself and the reason why you should pay a very little attention to my mail is that, i am a freelancer manual exploratory tester. I wont say the thing which i am concerned about, is a bug, but a suggestion it is.
Metacert takes in a password and email id, and to make changes…

Enterprise Management of Chrome Extension
Is there way to manage filter settings across Chromebooks rather than having to configure each one separately? That would be a huge benefit.

Adult Swim / Adult Cartoons
The first thing I looked for to test the product out was adult, it brought up adult swim at the top and I was able to watch the videos on their site. I was hoping to avoid nudity and persuasive content like adult cartoons. I selected almost all of the child blocks except for violence.

Tiny "adult oriented" ads on web sites, like fox news, my local TV station, etc.
Thank you for the great work you do in content filtering. How can I set MetaCert to block the tiny adult-oriented ads, or what I call "junk" ads that appear on a lot of web sites? And not knowing what you consider "adult", I mean the stuff like Victoria Secrets, pictures of women with large breasts barely covered up and worse, or liberal type content. I am a Christian and conservative and know how this stuff can draw people in and eventually harm them. I want to be able to set up my PC to block this mess out so…

Pinterest, 500px and many other design blogs...
Pinterest, 500px and many other design blogs have some nudity except the good art aside. Can you block those images only?

Metacert chrome extension works well, but has started returning NO results in google.
Metacert chrome extension works well, but has started returning NO results in google. Redirects to https://www.google.com.au/webhp?sourceid=chrome-instant&ion=1&espv=2&ie=utf-8&safe=strict with no search terms in the address afterwards. Only seems to happen when searching from the address bar

Loading of a bad site
Very good extension. Just : pages are blocked but appear during the loading time.
5 votesHi there,
It’s very unusual for this to happen lately. Do you have a slow connection perhaps? I’m sorry if it’s not as quick as you’d like.
Thanks,
Paul
